Round Table Haven – Website Redesign
Dynamic Web Designs created a new website for Round Table Haven which is an non-profit organization located in Port Tobacco, Maryland that does pet rescues and adoptions.

Overview
Round Table Haven is an non-profit animal rescue located in Maryland. They help pets of all kinds find permanent homes with loving families. With Round Table Haven being a non-profit organization they also have many events they need to get the word out about in the area to help raise money to continue the work they do.
Round Table Haven’s website did not convey trust, professionalism, and content organization. The site was originally built using Godaddy’s website builder. The problem with any website builder that is offered by any hosting company is that you can only create what the website builder will allow. Even if you were an intermediate with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript there is no way to make use of it with the site builder.
The Challenge
The site owner wanted to have there website redesigned to have a professional look and to go along with the theme of there organizations name. Round Table Haven’s website would need to be able to share upcoming events, take online donations to there PayPal account. Sell raffle tickets when the need arouse.
GoDaddy’s website builder was used by the site owner to create there website. Site builders limit what can be done and you lack full control over your website design.
Now with Round Table Haven’s main goal of animal rescue and finding new homes for all the animals they come across they would need a way to list all the animals available for adoption. Also they would need a way to get the adoption form online and share info about the process.
One thing the site lacked was more information about the site and what they did or needed help with. Site visitors who wanted to help in person instead of financially had no real information as to how they could help.
The Results
For Round Table Haven I created a custom WordPress theme for there website with knights and castle elements in the design. To be able to share fund raising and adoption events I included an events calendar page that would list the different events they organized and it would show time frames and locations. This information would also populate on certain pages throughout the website as to make sure site visitors where aware of what was going on.
The home page was set up to feature the most important and current information happening with Round Table Haven by having a “Latest News”, “Adopt”, and “Make a Difference” section that would have a feed display a certain number of post on various topics. Also a large donate button to help with the on going efforts of funding the non-profit organization. The home page also features a Hero style banner to convey what they are about and display relevant information to site visitors.
More pages where added compared to the original site to be able to organize the content in a logical manner. A form download page added to give site visitors access to the adoption form for download. The adoption form PDF was updated to be editable by site visitors so they could fill the form out on there computer and send it back to Round Table Haven to help stream line the process of pet adoption. A “Submit Application” section was created on the contact us page that allows site visitors to be able to upload the PDF forms and send them to Round Table Haven.
Round Table Haven is very active on the social media accounts to help find homes for the rescue pets and spread the word about upcoming events. I integrated there social media accounts so when they posted articles or events on the website it would automatically post the same information on there social media accounts as well to help save time.
